It happened on a hot summer day. Huisele was very thirsty, so he turned himself into a fly and flew through the keyhole of a farmhouse, straight into the milk room. The fly drank the milk, but oh dear—suddenly he fell into the bowl! The enchanted fly struggled and struggled, but couldn’t reach the edge until the farmer’s wife discovered it, caught the animal with her index fingers, and threw it with full force onto the floor. When Huisele came to and regained his strength, he quickly made his escape.
However, this misfortune did not teach him a lesson – he continued to play his pranks on the poor farmers.
One day, the devil had had enough of Huisele’s tricks. Full of rage, he grabbed him and, when he was done with Huisele, the devil tore a large trench.
The mystical Huisele Gorge, which is said to have been created as a result, is one of the many themed trails in our valley. There is a new viewing platform and two spectacular waterfalls there. The themed trail starts in Jaufensteg at the exit of the Gilfenklamm gorge and leads to Flading.
